Oh my goodness. This is totally my kind of airbnb room!
It brings another meaning to the saying “Sleeps with the Fishes.”
And if you cannot get to sleep, well, instead of counting sheep, you could count fish.
Airbnb, the overnight accommodation rental website, is offering a room with a 360-underwater view suspended 10 meters into the shark tank at the Paris Aquarium to 3 lucky winners and their guests. The shark tank holds more than 800,000 gallons of water and contains 35 sharks in addition to other Indo-Pacific fish. Of course, since there are no curtains to the room, contest winners will become part of the exhibit for one and all to see…
Winners will also receive a tour of the aquarium in either English or French, led by one of the aquarium’s marine biologists where they will learn about the hidden life of sharks, why they are misunderstood by the public, and why they are essential to the health of the oceans. The prize will include dinner for two in the shark tunnel in addition to breakfast.
If you are over 18 years of age, the combined weight of you and your guest is less than 418 pounds (the weight limit of the bedroom), you are able to scramble up and down a ladder into your water-view room, and you would like to participate in the contest, here is the link:
Click the button at the right of the URL to translate the page.
The prize is open to everyone in the world, except for a few war-torn sanctioned countries and does include roundtrip airfare. The contest is open from March 26, 2016 to April 3, 2016 and the dates to sleep with the sharks are April 11, 12 or 13th, 2016. To win, you must email Airbnb at the link above and tell the Airbnb judges in a compelling way why you are the best candidate to win this interesting prize. Entries can be submitted in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese or Korean.
